The observation platform on top of the Bell tower provides an excellent view over the city: from Spandau in the west to the Alexanderplatz and on a clear day to Potsdam and the Mueggelberge.

The tower was modernised for the 2006 World Cup of soccer for nearly 7 million Euro: A new glass-lift takes you up while showing scenes from the history of the building, below a documentary exhibition by the German Historical Museum informs you on two floors in German and English language about the Olympic games of 1936 and the particular history of the site.
